Estudi de viabilitat d’un viver de planta ornamental en una parcel·la de 0,8 Ha al Parc Agrari del Baix Llobregat (Gavà)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of implementing a nursery for the developing of ornamental trees on a plot of 1 ha located in the Agrarian Park of Baix Llobregat, municipality of Gavà, province of Barcelona, under the supervision of the company LA CYCA Projects & Services. The company is dedicated to the realization of landscape works and maintenance and the world of gardening. The objective is to obtain a plant that can later be used in its interventions, thus reducing execution costs. A study of internal and external conditions is carried out, as well as a balance of costs and revenues to define which type of plants and species are economically viable to be developed by the enterprise. The study determines that the development of Mediterranean-planifolia trees of the Prunus cerasifera species is viable in the plot given the climatic conditions analyzed as well as the limitations presented by the characteristics of the soil and irrigation water. The implementation as well as the maintenance tasks will be carried out by the current personnel of the enterprise, formed by more than 100 certified gardeners. The nursery is expected to have an area of 0.8 ha with 500 planted trees. With the company's current client portfolio and the volume of services performed, it is estimated that 100 of these trees will be used annually by the enterprise. The income will be obtained directly from the sale of these trees. The results of the analysis determine that the project has a return of 32.19%, with annual benefits of 7,465.66 and a return on investment at 6 years. The considered useful life of the project is 10 years, due the variations in supply and demand as well as the purchase and sale prices of the trees.
