Tornant al futur: un altra mirada per la transformació urbana contemporània

Abstract

En un moment de profunda incertesa, mirar enrere podria ajudar-nos a anar endavant. Alguns elements de la transformació urbana del passat recent permeten plantejar-se algunes línies d’actuació futures. La situació que vivim no és nova, però això no significa que siguin les solucions passades la resposta literal als desafiaments presents. La referència a alguns fets succeïts entre els anys 1980 i 2010, permet encarar algunes de les qüestions que la nova urbanística hauria d’incorporar, tant des del punt de vista preventiu com propositiu. El que es planteja és una mirada intencionada al passat, fent memòria per extreure algunes línies estratègiques d’actuació futura.

At a time of deep uncertainty, looking back could help us move forward. Some elements of the urban transformation of the recent past can give some future lines of action. The situation in which we live is not new, but it does not mean that the solutions of the past are the answers to the challenges of the present. The reference to some events that occurred between 1980 and 2010, can face some of the issues that the new planning should incorporate both from the preventive point of view and propositional. What is proposed is a deliberate look into the past, remembering to draw some strategic lines of future performance
