Abstract
In this paper, the problem of reconstructing a 3D object by means of
an octree-like structure with the help of epipolar geometry within a
projective framework is addressed. After a brief introduction to the
concept of octrees and the basics of epipolar geometry, the next
section introduces the description of a new concept called
projective octree. An algorithm for building this projective
structure from the images is described. Finally, some results of the
implementations are presented in the last section together with the
conclusions and future work.
