The expansion of the electric and hybrid vehicles on the market in the recent years involve new challenges in the massive deployment of charging points. In the case of a community parking, the use of a charge management system can allow the users save money and reduce the total contracted power. The aim of the project is the implementation of an intelligent charge management system for electric vehicles following the ITC-BT52 and the standard IEC 61851. The system must keep the charge needs of each user without exceeding the total contracted power of the network and optimize the final cost of electricity consumption. The intelligent charge management system consists of charging stations (SIGs), a server and Android applications. Each SIG includes an energy meter, a controlled switch to connect or disconnect the electric vehicle to the network, circuitry to perform analog communications with the electric vehicle and a Wifi communications system that is used to receive control commands and send data. A server using a Wifi network establishes the control of each of the SIGs. Controls the connection to the network, the maximum allowable charge power and requests the consumption of each SIG to determine the cost of the service. The Android application is used as a user interface to configure or manage the network by the administrator of the community, also allow the users to perform all common tasks. The user can create custom plans for charging the electric vehicle and also can check the status of the vehicle and the energy consumption. It has successfully developed the charge management system and has been proven that it works properly, proposing a solution to the energy problem in collective parkings.
