Abstract

This project starts from the need to implement a remote tower airport control within a medium / small size. All this is due to a long-term plan (2020) developed a Europe-wide initiative called SESAR, which will have to be implemented in order to optimize and achieve high performance ATM network in Europe. Within all this initiative, different professionals will be involved, and ENAIRE (formerly Air Navigation AENA) as aeronautical service provider becomes part of the whole group. Along the project the bases will be defined to carry out, and the two sites involved both conventional control tower, and the tower location where the remote control will position itself be defined. Will be conducted an approach installation, and will conduct a study to determine how best to unite and convey information between the two buildings, taking the final decision to use a previous installation of fiber optic cabling.
