dc.description.abstractThis Bachelor Thesis presents the results of determining the indexes to assess comfort during discrete events and during transition curves, both defined in the EN 12299:2009 standard, for passengers travelling in a tram vehicle. To determine each of the two comfort indexes, two Matlab scripts have been created. The scripts analyse data extracted from different simulated scenarios and return the comfort index for each case. Once the results are presented, some conclusions can be extracted referring to the convenience, or not, of using this criterion to assess the tram vehicle passenger’s comfort during discrete events and transition curves.
