Abstract
The current system of Catalan Vocational Training public education ensures quality education, advanced and continuously updated many professional families. This offers traditional professional families and some others concerning recent creation. A field not yet covered (or partially covered) by the system is the FP Aircraft Maintenance, given their inherent complexity and specificity regulations. Technical standards and procedures for maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft and aircraft components, as well as the approval of organizations and personnel involved in tasks, is established in the European Regulation (EC) No. 2042/2003 and modified by the (EU) No 1149/2011. Today there are several organizations providing the studies leading to the Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML), among which is the Institute Banyols Island, El Prat de Llobregat, which is implanted license category B1.1 with great success. One of the keys to the success of the school is the synergy that occurs in a suit Formació Professional Training Cycle studies of AML in some facilities coordinated by professionals from both the Education and the Aeronautical Maintenance field, and supervised by the Education Department. The aim of this project is to adapt the rules concerning regulated studies TM11 "Aircraft piston engine" to those of Part 66 license subcategory A2 of the same name. This will fulfil several objectives: - Students who exceed the studies receive two degrees (TM11 from Department of Education and AML subcategory A2) - Use and intensifying the use of existing workshops for subcategory B1 - Generation of experts accredited to the demand for these professionals to companies contributors
