Abstract
Airports are particularly sensitive infrastructures due to the high volume of people and already perform delicate operations. In case of disaster, telecommunications play a vital role in facilitating the coordination of the different elements involved. Cooperation in these cases may even reduce the magnitude of the disaster itself. In this TFC TETRA technology is presented as the ideal system to take responsibility for airport communications, especially in Catalunya, where the telecommunication networks of the Autonomous Police, firefighters and emergency medical use such technology. Ensure the availability of network coverage of emergency is a direct result of a good radio planning and one of the most important parameters is the method of calculation used. This TFC develops a methodology to select the most appropriate model for radio simulation, which involves making field measurements of TETRA emissions, comparing the measurements with simulations with the different propagation models available and choosing the most right. Applying the conclussions of this TFC can ensure that the theoretical coverage made with the tools available are as close to reality as possible, so you can rely on in case of emergency can count on the expected service.
