| dc.description.abstract | The paper is concerning to a R&D proj ect to develop Optical Coherent Systems working at 2. 5 Gbitjs data speed and l. 55 um operating wavelength. Three are the main phases in the project plan: the Lab Model system, built using mostly commercially available subsystems; the Terminal Prototype built using hybrid circuits and installed into a rack; and the Coherent Demonstrator, incorporating the techniques used on multipoint applications. |
