Abstract
The designed algorithm estimates the distance travelled by counting the steps while walking using the accelerometer, the rotation vector and the gyroscope embedded on a smartphone. El algoritmo diseñado estima la distancia contando los pasos realizados usando el acelerómetro, el vector de rotación y el giroscopio de un smartphone. L'algorisme dissenyat estima la distància recorreguda contant les passes realitzades amb l'acceleròmetre, el vector de rotació i el giroscopi d'un smartphone.

The aim of the work is to obtain an algorithm that estimates the walking distance using a combination of the sensors of a smartphone.
