El grup basa la seva activitat en la investigació de nous circuits, tècniques i metodologies per al desenvolupament de transceptors i implementació de capa ràdio de sistemes de comunicacions avançats. Les activitats del grup se centren tant en solucions maquinari com en solucions software específiques, focalitzades en les següents temàtiques: Desenvolupament de tècniques avançades de disseny de filtres, circuits passius reconfigurables, filtres i xarxes d'adaptació d'antenes i amplificadors, caracterització i modelització del comportament no lineal de circuits passius i actius, tècniques de reducció del factor de cresta (CFR) i pre-distorsió digital (DPD) per a la linealització d'amplificadors, tècniques de seguiment d'envoltant per incrementar l'eficiència d'amplificadors, noves arquitectures ràdio basades en forma d'ona middleware software design radio per a entorns cloud computing, gestió de recursos del sistema per a millorar l'eficiència energètica dels equips de comunicació.
