CRAAX - Centre de Recerca d'Arquitectures Avançades de Xarxes
L’activitat del CRAAX es focalitza en tres àrees temàtiques. La primera tracta el disseny de xarxes de nova generació, incloent routing, SDN, gestió de xarxes, seguretat, etc. La segona àrea està dedicada a escenaris intel·ligents com IoT, smart cities, cloud, fog, ITS i el desenvolupament de plataformes de “decision-making” per situacions crítiques (desastres, etc.), models col·laboratius de gestió de recursos, etc. La tercera es centra en l’aplicació de la tecnologia en el sector clínic, amb un clar focus a la integració de solucions que millorin la qualitat de vida dels pacients.
Per assolir els diferents reptes, el CRAAX és un grup multidisciplinar integrat per investigadors de la UPC i de l’Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.
El conjunt d’activitats realitzades pel CRAAX han donat lloc a la participació en multitud de projectes i contractes de recerca a tots nivells, tant a nivell públic com privat. A més, la recerca realitzada pel CRAAX està publicada en conferències i revistes internacionals d’alt impacte científic.
Finalment, part de l’activitat del CRAAX es dedica a la formació d’estudiants tant a nivell de grau, màster i doctorat.
