Les principals línies de recerca del GREMS es focalitzen en l'àmbit de la mineria i són les següents: caracterització de dipòsits minerals, optimització en el processament de minerals, seguretat i condicions ambientals en mineria subterrània, control de subsidència i preservació del patrimoni geològic i miner.
