Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems are a set of advanced applications that aim to increase safety, traffic efficiency and provide infotainment in the roads, an emerging field that is attracting great attention in telecommunications and automotive industry. During this project a C-ITS system focused in safety will be developed, a real-time collision warning system for high speed tracks that is able to collect GNSS and vehicle-to-vehicle data and use it to define the longitudinal position, speed and lane for each vehicle in the road.
