dc.description.abstract | The main objective of the work is to design and simulate the 3D printing of a wind turbine blade. Because of the limited printing areas of the machines, the blade will be printed in different parts to be assembled together. The purpose of the wind turbine is to generate electric power in a domestic scale. That is why the length of the blade measures between one and two meters and the power of the turbine is below 1000 W. Steps that will be followed: - Choose a profile and a size. The use of Matlab software is intended. - Draw the CAD model, make the different parts and the assembly. - Simulate and study the mechanics and the aerodynamics of the wind turbine. - Simulate the printing process. |
