dc.description.abstractWe started this project with a clear objective, to make known unified communications. From the outset, I have sought a didactic approach, having worked 1.5 years in a company that focused part of its efforts in selling videoconferencing endpoints and analog terminals and VoIP audioconferencing. And that after my time in the company, the company embarked on a new era of value addition to customers, and communications integration. Unified communications is today little known, but instead, many people use technology, which brings them closer to that world without knowing it. Every time someone opens and uses Skype, Hangouts or other, is approaching to unified communications. That approach of the consumer world, moves me to bring others to the professional world of unified communications. Increasingly, we find organizations where unified communications become strategic commitments. These bets are based on the efficiency, economy and sustainability. Saving unnecessary travel and costs, and avoid the emission of many tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Throughout the work, in the laboratory, I will analyze the heart of unified communications, the present and the future of video codecs H.264 BL, H.264 and H.265 HP. Moreover I will make a full integration of the infrastructure of a company, with components that can coexist. The conclusions are straightforward, we are not yet prepared to take the necessary processing power to encode / decode H.265 in real time. A company with average budget may consider integrating a suite of unified communications, thereby increasing efficiency, reducing costs and environmental impact.
