In this project, the main idea is to design a circular polarization rectenna and use this same rectenna to build a 2x2 array to capture the energy emitted at 2.45 GHz. The rectenas are antennas with a rectifier which is responsible for transforming the electromagnetic energy that captures the antenna, DC. The rectifier is the key element of these rectenas. A good rectifier ensures good energy conversion. With rectenas you can create systems of wireless power transmissio, and thus power sensors or other devices without these have batteries. The rectena is a receiving antenna designed with rectifier, operating at a frequency of 2.45 GHz, this rectena is capable of converting electromagnetic waves of this frequency to DC. For antenna design has been used HFSS, a software electromagnetic simulations. And for the design and maximizing the conversion efficiency of the rectifier it has been used ADS. Aim has managed to make a rectena prototype that meets the requirements. As it has also been successfully made an array of 2 x 2 rectenas.
