dc.description.abstractAnalysis and implementation project has been developed about how students must configure and test the scenarios based in real situations working in groups. In order to help the students to understand how network protocols works and how they combines among them. A learning tool and network simulation will be use, based on the Packet Tracer program, "Cisco Networking academy", which offers routers, switches, hubs and end devices, to design specific scenarios with protocols already learned during the college. The protocols used in the different scenarios are: Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and Rapid Spaning Tree Protocol (RSTP), to prevent loops in the network.Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) to create virtual LANs. VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP), minimizes VLAN configuration when changes are made. Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) and Port Aggregation Protocol (PAgP), to provide higher bandwidth links and backups. Virtual Switching last System (VSS), combines two switches as a single element in the network. The report explains how to set each protocol and devices and the results about the test carried out to see every advantage.
