Description
The preliminary goal of this project is to develop a new approach for illumination strategies within diffuse optical tomography. The student will use advanced Monte Carlo modelling to model different strategies including time gating and structured illumination to study the problem from a theoretical perspective. If the theoretical results a promising, then this will move onto experimental implementation. This is the continuation of the student's original work duringg summer fellowship at the ICFO Medical Optics group.
