The objective of this group is to institutionally consolidate the academic relationship of researchers who have been working together for more than 17 years. The members of this group are currently participating in 14 national projects and 20 European projects. They have also collaborated in the teaching of 60 courses (of between 30 and 40 hours each), 220 seminars and 51 international conferences. The establishment of this group will enable its researchers to propose and carry out joint projects under its name and with a critical mass that will allow them to take on greater challenges within their basic and applied research.

(UNEX, 2003)
Text en actes de congrés
Accés obertAn integrated GIS-based analysis (using ArcView GIS) is performed in order to estimate risk scenarios for EMS-98 seismic intensities in Barcelona (Spain), according to a methodology developed within the Risk-UE Project of ... -

An accurate nonlocal bonded discrete element method for nonlinear analysis of solids: application to concrete fracture tests
(Springer, 2020-05)
Article
Accés obertWe present a numerical procedure for elastic and nonlinear analysis (including fracture situations) of solid materials and structures using the discrete element method. It can be applied to strongly cohesive frictional ... -
A plastic-damage model for concrete
(1989)
Article
Accés restringit per política de l'editorialIn this paper a constitutive model based on an internal variable-formulation of plasticity theory for the non-linear analysis of concrete is presented. The model uses a new yield criterion which matches experimental data ... -
A consistent characteristic length for smeared cracking models
(John Wiley & sons, 1989-02)
Article
Accés restringit per política de l'editorialA numerical scheme for crack modelling by means of continuous displacement fields is presented. In two-dimensional problems a crack is modelled as a limiting case of two singular lines (with continuous displacements, but ... -
A computational model for progressive cracking in large dams due to the swelling of concrete
(1990-09)
Article
Accés obertThe paper presents a computational model for the analysis of large concrete gravity dams subjected to severe damage due to internal actions. It has been observed in several operating concrete dams that the combined effects ... -
An analysis of strong discontinuities induced by strain-softening in rate-independent inelastic solids
(Springer, 1993-09)
Article
Accés restringit per política de l'editorialKet qualitative features of solutions exhibiting strong discontinuities in rate-independent inelastic solids are identified and exploited in the design of a new class of finite element approximations. The analysis shows ... -
Seismic evaluation of concrete dams via continuum damage models
(Wiley, 1995-09)
Article
Accés obertIn this paper a general methodology for the analysis of large concrete dams subjected to seismic excitation is outlined. It is valid both for gravity dams (2D representation) and arch dams (3D representation). The method ...
