Abstract
This project explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into project management, focusing specifically on the video game development industry. The increasing complexity and demands of modern game development call for innovative approaches to project management, and artificial intelligence offers transformative potential in this regard. The research provides a thorough theoretical foundation by examining existing AI technologies and their applications across various sectors. This section reviews the evolution of AI, its current capabilities, and its potential impact on project management. The study highlights key trends, such as automation, data analysis, and AI-enhanced decision-making, and offers insights into how these technologies can reshape traditional management practices. Additionally, a theoretical framework was developed to guide the use of AI in project management tasks, offering a structured approach to effectively integrate AI tools and address implementation challenges. In the practical phase, the research involved a case study, where AI-powered project management tools were tested in real-world scenarios in collaboration with Magic Rain Studios, a video game development studio. Tools like Notion AI were utilized to explore the application of AI in areas such as team collaboration, task management, and workflow optimization. Through this partnership, the implementation of AI tools provided valuable insights into the practical application of AI in managing game development projects. The collaboration also allowed for an analysis of how these tools integrated with the studio's existing processes, shedding light on both the strengths and limitations of AI in enhancing project management efficiency. Finally, the project includes practical validations through real-world testing with Magic Rain Studios, who validated the utility of the information and insights presented over the course of the project. Moreover, the development and evaluation of this project led to several key conclusions, detailed in the final sections. These conclusions highlight that while AI tools can significantly enhance project management efficiency, successful integration requires addressing specific challenges and tailoring solutions to existing processes. Overall, the research underscores the potential of AI to assist project managers in their work and streamline project processes, ultimately driving improved outcomes and efficiency.
