Abstract
This study presents the development of a novel method for evaluating spatial interactions more holistically by integrating the phenomenological into the Operative approach, which is the socio-cultural, socio-economic, and environmental approaches. This method addresses the limitations of traditional evaluation techniques that often overlook the complex interdependencies between space and its surrounding context. To establish the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method, it was tested in an semi-urban environment that experienced a change in architectural typology. The evaluation process entailed a systemic examination of the built environment, taking into account the subjective experiences of users, as well as socio-cultural, socio-economic, and environmental factors. The findings demonstrate that this integrated approach provides a more comprehensive understanding of the architectural landscape and its impact on various stakeholders. By considering the multi- dimensional aspects a of architecture, the method allows for a deeper analysis of the built environment’s quality, sustainability, and adptability to the evolving needs of its inhabitants.
