En el present estudi es realitza un model 3D geotècnic amb el software MAPTEK VULCAN de les unitats geològiques del quaternari del subsol en els barris de l’Almeda i de Bellvitge situats al delta del Llobregat. Aquest software permet representar i processar la informació en 3D per tal d’analitzar problemes els quals els enginyers s’enfronten el dia a dia. L’extensió estudiada del projecte és la que correspon a l’àrea que engloben els mapes geològics de zones urbanes a escala 1:5.000, full nº 287-128 (420-7-8) de l’Almeda i el full nº 288-128 (420-8-8) de Bellvitge. La informació de partida per generar el model han estat els talls geològics dels mapes i 128 sondeigs d’entre 30 i 50 m de profunditat publicats en el Geoindex- Geotècnic de Barcelona del Institud Cartogràfic i Geologic de Catalunya. D’aquests sondeigs, 32 tenen informació geotècnica rellevant per generar el model. Les variables geotècniques que s’han estudiat han estat l’assaig in situ SPT, l’índex de plasticitat i el percentatge en fins. Amb les dades de partida dels sondeigs ubicades en l’espai s’ha realitzat una estimació d’aquestes variables al llarg de tota la superfície del model donant així informació geotècnica de les zones on no tenim informació. Les unitats geològiques modelades han estat cinc, tres unitats que pertanyen e l’època del Holocè (Qp1, Qfd i Qpd) i dues unitats que són de l’època del Plistocè (Qtb i Qrd) ordenades de mes moderna a mes antiga. La profunditat mitjana del model és aproximadament de 50 m. Finalment es presenta un cas pràctic que consisteix en l’execució de l’ampliació d’un centre de producció anomenat BASF en la zona franca on es realitzarà el càlcul de tensió admissible per a sabates de fonamentació mitjançant els valors dels assaigs SPT obtinguts en el model generat.
In the present study, a geotechnical 3D model is made with the MAPTEK VULCAN software of
the quaternary geological units of the subsoil, in the neighbourhoods of Almeda and Bellvitge,
located in the Llobregat delta. This software makes it possible to represent and process
information in 3D in order to analyse problems that engineers face on their daily basis. The
studied extension of the project corresponds to the area covered by the geological maps of
urban areas at a scale of 1:5,000, sheet nº 287-128 (420-7-8) of the Almeda, and sheet nº 288-
128 (420-8-8) of Bellvitge. The starting information to generate the model has been the
geological sections of the maps and 128 soundings between 30 and 50 m deep published in the
Geoindex-Geotècnic de Barcelona of the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia. Of
these soundings, 32 have relevant geotechnical information to generate the model. The
geotechnical variables that have been studied have been the SPT in situ test, the plasticity index,
and the percentage of fines. With the starting data from the soundings located in space, an
estimate of these variables has been made along the entire surface of the model, providing
geotechnical information for the areas where we do not have information. The modeled
geological units have been five, three units that belong to the Holocene era (Qp1, Qfd and Qpd)
and two units that are from the Pleistocene era (Qtb and Qrd) ordered from most modern to
oldest. The average depth of the model is approximately 50m. Finally, a practical case is
presented that consists of the execution of the expansion of a production center called BASF, in
the free zone where the calculation of permissible stress for foundation shoes will be carried
out using the values of the SPT tests obtained in the generated model.
