El present treball parteix de l’estudi d’un cas centrat en una família d’origen andalús, concretament de Còrdova. Que davant la necessitat i la idea d’obtenir una millor vida, va emigrar cap a Barcelona als anys seixanta.
L’arribada de migrants a qualsevol ciutat provoca un canvi i una evolució d’aquesta, es contemplen noves maneres d’entendre l’habitatge. És per això, que des d’aquesta història concreta, però expositiva del que van passar moltes persones en aquella època, es pot arribar a entendre una part de l’evolució de l’habitatge a Barcelona, tant com les conseqüències directes en les persones que arriben a un nou lloc, desconegut, i sense un sostre digne. Però l’objectiu d’aquest treball no és redundar en qüestions socials, polítiques o econòmiques, sinó que la raó i columna vertebral serà investigar sobre els espais on aquests migrants van confiar la seguretat i confort de la seva llar.
Es narra la trajectòria de migració del camp a la ciutat, així com s’analitzen les diferents “cases” que van habitar. Des de la casa familiar del poble, fins a l’habitatge que van aconseguir comprar a Ciutat Meridiana, passant per una barraca al Camp de la Bota, un pis compartit, i una feina a Via Augusta que els va donar també, un lloc per viure.
Això es fa des de la veu pròpia d’en Juan (91 anys), partint de converses banals, però també profundes, mirant de contextualitzar-ho amb fets històrics, recerca biogràfica, bibliografia i consultes a l’arxiu municipal.
The following paper is based on the case study of a family of Andalusian origin, from Córdova to be concrete. Who in front of the need and desire to obtain a better life, emigrated to Barcelona in the sixties.
The arrival of migrants to any city induces it to change and evolve, and new ways to understand housing are taken into account. This is why, parting from this particular story, which is also telling of what a lot of people had to go through at that time, we can begin to understand a part of Barcelona’s housing evolution, as well as the direct consequences on the people that settle in a new unknown place without a dignified roof. However, the aim of this paper is not to dwell on social, political or economic questions, instead, the reason and backbone will be the investigation of the spaces in which these migrants entrusted their security and comfort of their homes.
Narrated will be the journey of migration from the countryside to the city, along with the analysis of the different “houses” where they resided. From the family home in the village to the dwelling they managed to afford in Ciutat Meridiana, passing through a shanty in Camp de la Bota, a shared flat, and a job at Via Augusta that also gave them a place to live.
All this is done through the experience of Juan (91 years old), starting with banal but also deep conversations, trying to contextualise it with historical facts, biographical research, bibliography and consultations to the municipal archive.
