Abstract
This file contains the documented process of the development of a replay system as the
final bachelor’s degree thesis. The project, named ACE Replay, has also been uploaded
to the Unity Asset Store to provide an easy tool for indie developers to implement a
basic replay system.
The result of this project is a system that can record the transforms, animations, audio,
and particles, as well as the recording of instantiated and deleted objects. The package
of the tool contains two example scenes, one to showcase an instant replay and the
other containing a travel back in time mechanic.
Throughout this document, the initial planning, research, and methodology that has
been followed are explained. After that, the development process is documented
explaining some of the system designs, implementations, and tests. At the end, before
the conclusions, the publishing process, is described as well.
Once the project was finished, it was concluded that it would be interesting to publish
new versions of the product with new features and bug fixes, in order to deliver a more
completed and flexible asset pack.
