La història dels animals i les seves construccions han patit un progrés i una evolució constant al llarg de milers d’anys. Per tal de sobreviure, aquestes construccions animals s’han anat millorant fins a obtenir unes construccions amb un alt nivell tecnològic i funcional.
Aquestes construccions presenten una gran varietat de materials, tècniques i dissenys constructius que responen les necessitats i característiques de cada espècie i de l’entorn on es troben.
Aquest treball és un estudi de diferents tipus de construccions animals i un recull de les estratègies arquitectòniques que segueixen. L’objectiu és avaluar quina és la relació entre l’arquitectura humana i la dels animals. L’estudi de la materialitat, la forma i els sistemes constructius ens porten a parlar d’aquestes construccions més enllà de l’objecte per estudiar-ne la relació amb el seu entorn i el paisatge.

These constructions are made of a wide variety of materials, techniques and designs, that covers the needs of each animal species, according to their characteristics and the surroundings.
This project consists of a study of the different types of animal constructions and a compilation of the architectonic strategies followed by them. The aim is to evaluate which is the relationship between human and animal architecture. Taking into consideration the materiality, the shape and the constructions, we can discuss about a animal construction beyond the object, to study the relationship between the construction and surroundings.
