El sector de la restauració és un dels més importants a Espanya i per tant un dels que més present és a la societat. Un dels passos clau en l'experiència de qualsevol persona a un restaurant és l'elecció dels plats que es volen consumir. Al mateix temps, és un dels aspectes que menys ha evolucionat al llarg dels anys, sent gairebé exclusiu el mètode de la carta a paper fins la pandèmia del COVID-19, on es va popularitzar l'ús de cartes en PDF, el qual no suposa un avanç en molts casos. Aquests mètodes fan difícil l'elecció per persones veganes, vegetarianes, amb al·lèrgies o amb preferències i exigències alimentaries concretes o estrictes. L'objectiu del projecte és desenvolupar un sistema més còmode per aquestes persones i pels clients de la restauració en general posant a disposició dels usuaris una aplicació mòbil des d'on poder filtrar amb total facilitat els plats desitjats per categoria, al·lèrgens comuns o fins i tot per ingredients.
The restaurant industry is one of the most important in Spain and therefore one of the most present in society. One of the key steps in anyone's experience at a restaurant is the choice of the dishes they want to eat. At the same time, it is one of the steps that has evolved the least over the years, with the paper menu being almost exclusive until the COVID-19 pandemic, where the use of PDF menus became popular, which is not an improvement in many cases. These methods make the choice difficult for vegans, vegetarians, people with allergies or with specific or strict food preferences and requirements. The aim of the project is to develop a more comfortable system for these people and for restaurant customers in general by making available to users a mobile application from which they can easily filter the desired dishes by category, common allergens or even by ingredients.
