Design study of a battery for an electric racing motorbike

Abstract

La necesidad del equipo de MotoSpirit ESEIAAT de tener que diseñar y fabricar una batería para un prototipo de motocicleta eléctrica de competición hace que se inicie este proyecto. Las características de la batería están determinadas específicamente por el reglamento de la competición y optimizadas para que se reduzcan sus dimensiones y peso.

Due to the need to manufacture a competition electric motorcycle prototype for participation in an electric motorcycle championship among universities around the world, the battery design process and adaptation will be explained below to it from the components that make it up. In these types of vehicles, the battery is responsible for supplying the necessary power to be able to turn the engine at a speed sufficient for the vehicle’s transmission systems to provide a speed to the wheel that offers a velocity great enough for to be able to compete with the rest of the teams for the championship victory. Therefore, all those factors that can affect the operation of the battery and the parameters that must be fit by it in order to materialize its design successfully will be taken into account.

Degut a la necessitat d’haver de fabricar un prototip de motocicleta electrica de competicio per a la participació o en un campionat de motocicletes elèctriques entre universitats d’arreu del mon, a continuació s’explicarà el procès de disseny de la bateria i l’adaptació ella dels components que la formen. En aquests tipus de vehicles, la bateria es l’encarregada de subministrar la potència necessaria per poder fer girar el motor a la velocitat suficient com perquè els sistemes de transmissio del vehicle proporcionin una velocitat a la roda que ofereixi una celeritat suficientment gran com per a poder competir amb la resta d’equips per la victoria del campionat. Així doncs, es tindran en compte tots aquells factors que puguin afectar al funcionament de la bateria i els parametres que ha de complir aquesta per poder materialitzar amb èxit el seu disseny.
