CITCEA - Centre d'Innovació Tecnològica en Convertidors Estàtics i Accionaments
El CITCEA-UPC és un centre de transferència de tecnologia creat el 2001 a la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Està especialitzant en l’enginyeria elèctrica, és capaç de respondre a les necessitats de les empreses mitjançant la realització d’un estudi o la creació d’un prototipus funcional que finalment servirà a l’empresa per desenvolupar un nou producte comercial o per solucionar un nou problema tecnològic plantejat pel creixement i evolució de l’empresa.
L’expertesa del CITCEA-UPC radica en tot tipus d’aplicacions on el control de l’energia i/o el moviment sigui necessari. En aquest àmbit, les tecnologies desenvolupades són: l’electricitat, l’electrònica de control, l’electrònica de potència, les comunicacions industrials i el control digital amb processadors. Les aplicacions d’aquestes tecnologies comprenen des de l’automatització de processos i màquines fins les energies renovables i la xarxa elèctrica, entre moltes altres.
