Les ciutats contemporànies viuen en un context de crisi climàtica, econòmica i d'accés a l'habitatge, i hi ha determinats col·lectiu socials que en pateixen més les conseqüències que altres. Els darrers anys s'han plantejat des de les ciències socials propostes alternatives al format de ciutat i habitatge convencionals actuals que passen per l'aposta per models comunitaris.
El treball recull aquests pensaments teòrics i analitza com es tradueix a l'arquitectura, quins referents històrics trobem quan parlem d'habitatge comunitari i com s'està aplicant a dia d'avui. S'estudia com són els espais, quins beneficis poden aportar a la vida de les persones, especialment els col·lectius socials més vulnerables, i com es pot garantir el dret a l'habitatge digne a través d'aquests models alternatius.
Contemporary cities suffer a climate and ecnonomical crisis, the right of housing is under crisis, and there are certain social groups who suffer its consequences more than others. Last years, alternative proposals have been made from the social sciences which refer to community typologies.
The research takes these theories and analyses how they are applied to architecture, which historical references we can find when we talk about community housing and how it is being applied currently. We will study how the spaces are and which benefits it can provide to people's lives, specially the most vulnerable social groups, and how the right to housing can be ensured through this alternative typologies.
