Estudio de cuatro tipologías de rehabilitación y reutilización de edificios industriales en Barcelona

Abstract

El presente trabajo consiste en el estudio de la historia de los edificios de la Barcelona industrial, haciendo hincapié en las estrategias de rehabilitación llevadas a cabo con el propósito de darle un nuevo uso a estas antiguas naves industriales. Se hace una búsqueda de las industrias que se han rehabilitado y las que están pendientes de ello. A continuación, se explican cuatro tipologías de intervención características llevadas a cabo en la reutilización de las fábricas postindustriales de Barcelona y se ejemplifican tres de ellas con el objetivo de comprender mejor las ventajas y desventajas de las intervenciones. Los edificios analizados son Fabra i Coats (nave G destinada a viviendas), Can Framis (museo) y Ca l’Alier (centro de investigación Urbana, BIT Hábitat).

This paper consists of the study of the history of the old buildings of Industrial Barcelona, emphasizing the rehabilitation strategies carried out with the purpose of providing a new use to these old industrial buildings. Research is done focusing on the factories that have been rehabilitated and those that are still pending. Furtherly, four types of intervention carried out in the reuse of post-industrial factories in Barcelona are explained and three of them are exemplified with the aim of better understanding the advantages and disadvantages of these interventions. The buildings analyzed are Fabra i Coats (warehouse G destined to housing), Can Framis (museum) and Ca l’Alier (Urban research centre, BIT Hábitat).
