Abstract
At the HP Barcelona site, located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, which is the global base of operations in 3D printing and large format printers, many printers are continuously in operation. While these printers are in operation, HP engineers want to measure various physical magnitudes, such as temperature, humidity, and the distance from the printer head to the print surface. So far, the measurement systems have been specifically designed for the printer on which they are placed, but in order to reduce the time and cost of development we want to create a non-intrusive measuring system. The goal of this project is to create a system for capturing and processing data to generate temperature maps from within a printer. The equipment developed in this project consists of the hardware needed to control the different sensors, an application that allows the user to connect to the capture device and be able to control it, and a web server that collects the data and allows the user to view it graphically. The measuring equipment developed during this TFG is currently being adapted by other HP employees to measure other magnitudes, as it has been shown that the technology used during this project allows things to be done that the old measurement and calibration systems could not do.
