dc.description.abstractFinding solution methods to optimisation problems has been an area of interest in mathematics for centuries. In this project, we aim to find the solution of an optimisation problem subject to an ODE using different numerical methods and see if the solutions are coherent with what we expect to see. The problem that we have used to find the solutions is the inverted pendulum. During the resolution of the problem we also aim to chech if other properties are accomplished such as the conservation of the Hamiltonian.
