Desenvolupament de mètodes estadístics adequats al tractament de dades que apareixen a les aplicacions: incomplets, censurats, imprecisos, no homogenis, espacials, composicionals... Es posa especial èmfasi en els mètodes baiesians d'estimació per al control de la incertesa estadística i l'aprofitament d'informacions a priori.
The aim is to develop statistical methods appropriate to incomplete, censured, imprecise, non-homogeneous, spatial and compositional data, etc. Special attention is paid to Bayesian estimation methods for statistical uncertainty control and the use of prior knowledge.
