Abstract
The sustainable development goals proposed by the 2030 Agenda include: putting an end to hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture. Many different initiatives will be required to meet these challenges, but they undoubtedly require the application of
the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs to transform a sector that is strategic for our society.
