MCIA - Motion Control and Industrial Applications Research Group
El grup estudia la modelització, la simulació, les tècniques de control, la implantació física i les aplicacions dels sistemes electrònics de potència aplicats al control industrial i als accionaments elèctrics. Concretament, estudia el control digital amb microprocessadors, processadors de senyals digitals (DSP) i matrius de portes programables in situ (FPGA, de l’anglès field programmable gate array) dels convertidors i els llaços de regulació que apareixen en el control industrial i en el control dels motors elèctrics, per a la qual cosa aplica tècniques de control adaptatiu i intel·ligent. L'estudi dels sistemes electrònics per a la gestió i l'estalvi energètic, i el tractament de les dades de la planta per al diagnòstic i el manteniment també són temes d'interès per al grup.
El grupo estudia la modelización, la simulación, las técnicas de control, la implantación física y las aplicaciones de los sistemas electrónicos de potencia aplicados al control industrial y a los accionamientos eléctricos. Concretamente, estudia el control digital con microprocesadores, procesadores de señales digitales (DSP) y matrices de puertas programables in situ (FPGA, del inglés field programmable gate array) de los convertidores y los lazos de regulación que aparecen en el control industrial y en el control de los motores eléctricos, aplicando técnicas de control adaptativo e inteligente. El estudio de los sistemas electrónicos para la gestión y el ahorro energético, y el tratamiento de los datos de la planta para el diagnóstico y el mantenimiento también son temas de interés para el grupo.
The MCIA is a reference center of research, development and innovation for its scientific research, applied research and technology transfer activities in the areas of energy efficiency, electromobility and industrial systems. The activity of the MCIA center is based on research and knowledge generation to allow a technology transfer of high innovative value and significant competitive level to the industrial sector. The MCIA Center covers the whole innovation and development chain: conceptualization, design, implementation and validation. Thus, a high quality technology transfer till TLR6-7 providing solutions for the creation of new products and optimization of the existing ones, in the areas of electrical, electronic and ICT engineering. The MCIA is member of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia Technology Center, CiT UPC, from where the MCIA cooperates and leads multiple research and technology transfer activities.
