L'assignatura història de la ciència i de la tècnica a l'Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB), trenta anys després

Abstract

Students who started out their studies in the 1988/1989 academic year at Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) had to take the subject History of Science and Technology in the first term. This course belonged to the initial module of the Industrial Engineering programme, together with Calculus I, Algebra I, Chemistry I, Graphic Communication Techniques I and Workshops. Some years later, the subject became an optional course and then subsequently elective. Thirty years after that first experience, this paper provides insight into the stated goals of the History of Science and Technology course at ETSEIB, along with personal contributions from teaching staff and students who took part in it.
