dc.description.abstractThe aim of this project is the design, analysis, manufacture and comparison of two longboards depending on the material, using the tools that have been learned throughout these years of university. The first step will be to find out how this sport came about, its history, and then to go into the situation of its market on a global and national level. It will be learned about the different manufacturing methods in order to evaluate and decide which of them we will use that is within our capabilities, resources and budget, as well as the different materials that are used to make this product. Once the materials and the manufacturing method are decided, it will proceed to design the prototypes shape using SolidWorks CAD software and then analyze them according to the finite element method using ANSYS. The idea is to build 4 prototypes, the first 2 are going to be tested in a flexural destructive test to analyze their properties, while the next 2 will be the final prototypes. In addition, to ensure valid results, the two prototypes but also two commercial longboards will be tested in the flexural test to compare the results with each other and with the values obtained in the ANSYS simulation. If this is done correctly, a simulation capable of giving results that are very close to reality will be obtained, which will allow to make future boards of other materials without the need to test them. In addition, the whole construction process will be handmade, without previous knowledge of manufacturing, obtaining a board with the performance of those on the market and being able to compete against them. Finally, an empirical test of both final prototypes will be carried out to evaluate them from the subjectivity of different people and a video will be recorded to be shown in the presentation of this work. Some path forward conclusions will be taken
