Business oportunities search in the field of 3D printing

Abstract

3D printing is a technology which we have been hearing about for a long time, but it still doesn?t seem to be making its way into the consumer, business and education world. Why is this happening and where is it going? Is there a way of making its adoption easier and faster? In this thesis we will dive into the world of 3D printing, its applications, limitations and current state in Barcelona. We will also discuss which business opportunities might lie in this sea and present a business plan that might help into the adoption of this technology, together with a study of its environmental impact.
