Abstract
The vision: E-Waste is the most compelling new sustainable waste management system by giving access to services and cutting-edge technology for a brighter and prosperous future. The mission: To accelerate the world’s transition to a cleaner environment and sustainable future.

This thesis research deals with the topic of waste management which has become an important part of each individual’s life. What’s in and what’s out in Barcelona, it’s a problem that might confuse and discomfort local citizens and new city comers. Colour-coded bins is a well-known but complicated procedure that people living in Barcelona follow to segregate their waste disposals. The study aims to determine user behaviours to learn about waste. Also, it investigates the probability of changing their behaviour. In this context, a solution for sustainable waste management will allow the users to discover their waste and how to collect and sort them in an efficient way. Thus, the city will start shifting into a smart city which would have a great positive impact on the environment where people would notice the results of their contribution towards a better future.
