Abstract
In Francisco González de Canales' book "El manierismo y su ahora" (2020) he talks about studies that have been developed mostly in times of crisis, which leads to express the complexities of the order in the form of architecture. Thus a new "manner" of doing architecture emerges, facing the difficulties of the projects with an optimistic (mannerist) attitude. In this text, the project '7 lives' (2020) by Anna & Eugeni Bach is analyzed in a Venturian key to understand how the discourse of "Complexity and contradiction in architecture" is still valid today and has recently been reclaimed at MoMA itself (see "Complexity and Contradiction at Fifty", 2016).
