Abstract
The fast growth in air traffic driven by the truism development has required airports to become highly adaptable, entrepreneurial and proactive in addressing the changing dynamics of the aviation industry. Technology is essential for the future of the air transport industry, especially in the field of robotics, where there is a great room for innovation. The implementation of robots in airports can help solving some problems such as increasing pressure on airport workers to increase their capacity during peak hours, which can lead to stressful situations, jobs that lead to health problems, risk situations for employees or better management of passenger flow, among others. As passenger rise expectations increase after the Covid-19 pandemic, it is now more important than ever for airports to improve and optimize their service. The implementation of robots can help to overcome the main challenges that arise without the need for a disruptive change, helping to improve not only the reputation, but also the final results. With the aim of solving some of the problems presented, in this project some proposals will be developed supported by the TurtleBot3 technology.
