Abstract
Parallel in time integration methods is an interesting field of study, because of its new direction over parallelize. That is, when parallelization in space becomes saturated, the time direction becomes a new way in which one can works. In this thesis, we present the finite element method for the discretization for both steady and unsteady transport equations, numerical integration, and the need for stabilization techniques. All under the objective to analyze temporal schemes under the scope of a parallel-in-time method: Parareal.
