Bridging the gap: synthetic intervention into the gap space between borders

Abstract

This thesis will delve into a new meaning of gap spaces where are acquiring a new role and how they constructed between borders. One of the expectations is that this architectural attempt in urban gap space will reconnect the fragmentation and isolation existing in the city. In order to connect the urban fabric between the different borders, “Bridging the gap” can serve as an opportunity in that architecture expand its scope and role as intermediation for the urban environment. Therefore, this project aimed to attempt the possible ways of creating well-organized and desirable urban environments.
