Arquitectura i pandèmia: com respon l’espai públic a la crisis sanitària

Abstract

La intenció d’aquest treball és estudiar com s’està transformant l’espai públic a causa de la pandèmia del COVID i si això canviarà la manera de projectar arquitectura en un futur. A través de l’anàlisi de la influència d’altres crisis sanitàries en l’arquitectura, com els canvis de la forma urbana del segle XIX o la relació de la tuberculosis i l’arquitectura moderna, acabo escollint la ciutat de Barcelona com a cas d’estudi per identificar aquestes transformacions i intuir com seran les ciutats del futur.

The intention of this paper is to study how public space is being transformed due to the COVID pandemic and whether this will change the way architecture is designed in the future. Through the analysis of the influence of other health crises on architecture, such as changes in the urban form of the nineteenth century or the relationship between tuberculosis and modern architecture, I ended up choosing the city of Barcelona as a case study to identify these transformations and to sense what future cities will look like.
