Research in power electronic conversion, to facilitate a standardized design, increase the power density, increase the reliability, and reduce the cost of these conversion systems, while at the same time improving the performance features of the systems in which they are integrated.
To achieve this goal, new multilevel conversion topologies, modulations, and controls are developed.
The research is mainly applied to renewable energy systems (solar photovolatic and wind) and to electric vehicles.
