O resgate do pedestre na apropriação do Vale do Anhangabaú

Abstract

O presente artigo buscou abordar os diferentes períodos do Vale do Anhangabaú sob o ponto de vista da sua evolução e da reinserção do pedestre. Com este olhar foram determinados cinco momentos: um vale para ultrapassar; um vale para passear; um vale para evitar; um vale para recuperar; um vale para sonhar, sendo assim possível aprofundar o debate sobre a importância da apropriação do espaço urbano. Para cada fase, foram analisados materiais iconográficos, plantas, representações gráficas e estudos sobre as propostas. O levantamento deste trabalho parece ainda mais oportuno no momento em que o Vale está passando por mais uma transformação. Ao final desta investigação podemos dizer que o Vale do Anhangabaú foi um instrumento importante para o registro dos diferentes momentos da cidade de São Paulo e que a única garantia sobre o seu novo projeto é de que ele irá imprimir a marca deste tempo na história.

The article seeks to approach the different periods of the “Vale do Anhangabaú” from the pedestrian point of view. With this look were identified five times the valley went through: a valley to overcome; a valley to walk around; a valley to avoid; a valley to recover; a valley to dream about. This analysis intends to deepen the debate on the importance of the appropriation of urban space for the quality of the city. For each phase were analyzed iconographic material, plans, graphical representations and studies about the proposals. The survey of such material seems even more timely as the Valley is undergoing yet another transformation. As a final result of this investigation we can say that the “Vale do Anhangabaú” was an important instrument to record the moments that passed the city of São Paulo and that the only guarantee about the new project to be implemented is that it will print the mark of this time in history.
