dc.description.abstract | To cover the population growing wish to access metropolitan housing that meets their physical and emotional needs while minimizing the economic and temporal cost, the present study postulates that minimal housing has been placed as more than a realistic option for the future in a world where cities have overstepped their physical borders. An example of this and how versatile furniture can turn a small house into a home, not only functional, but pleasant; The Nakago tower, work of the Japanese Kisho Kurokawa and located in the dense city of Tokyo, helps us to explain all those factors that facilitate and hinder this ancient need that is now reconsiderable, the space. Although the tower is positioned as a clear structuring example of the entire discourse on minimum housing, I also address, in a much more schematic way, other examples of minimum housing that help us to understand why this type of residence can cover each of our needs, even some that we didn't even know we had. Finally, I consider such important to focus on the situation of housing in a world like the one we live in at the moment and how minimum housing affects, has affected and will affect people with minimal resources and anyone who has been affected by the recent health situation. |
