dc.description.abstract | To make autonomous driving a mass reality in cities there are still important technological barriers to be solved. It is therefore foreseeable that its implementation will be gradual, prioritising its appearance in operational environments of limited complexity, or taking into account that human intervention might eventually be required, in a paradigm of shared responsibility between the machine and the driver. The groups of Automated and Connected Driving at CAR, and Mobile Robotics at IRI, both from CSIC, propose in this article their contributions in these two complementary lines of research. |
