Abstract
Nowadays the automation of industrial processes has led to important advances that have allowed companies to implement more efficient, safe and competitive production processes. Simultaneously the concept of the SCADA system that has been becoming importance in recent years, and through which different variables that occur in a process or plant can be monitored and controlled, allowing the operator to have full access to the process through its visualization. This project starts from the need for cooling that comes from a structural profile lamination process, where from a raw material (billet) we obtain a final product for later sale in the construction sector, for example. Several objectives are set for this project, but the main objective is to delve into the world of automation in such a way that two specific software are used for the development of the automation of two water systems in order to cool the cans at temperatures that are generated in the rolling process. From this we managed to enter two programs within the OMROM pack: CxProgrammer, in which the automation part of both circuits is developed and CX-Supervisror in which we will design a SCADA giving life to the previous program and making it more visual and interactive. To conclude with the objectives that this project aims to achieve, a study is made of the lamination process where has been collected and searched information to provide the project with a more professional finish on which the project is based and, in addition we carry out the electrical and economic part of the implementation, in order to have experience when carrying out future projects.
